"What is it about her?... " What is it about "the girl" (whoever she or they may be) that men can't get our of their heads? What are the characteristics of today's "Wife of Noble Character?"

The today's aspiring "Wife of Noble Character" is struggling not to be confused by the different messages that they see played out in front of them. They see one picture from their mothers, and they see another by what their dads tell them they are, whether verbally or by what they are communicating non-verbally by walking out on the family. They date guys that either protect their purity or more often than not, drag it through the mud. The usual childhood of a girl today has them growing up to become women who scarcely know who they are. Proverbs 31 is becoming almost as well known as John 3:16 with young girls trying to find an answer to this question.

There are a few different traits that I attribute to a girl that causes guys like me to go into cardiac arrest and then have to be resuscitated afterwards.

First and foremost, she needs to have an incredible love relationship with God. It needs to be so intense that she would love God more than she would love me. It doesn't matter what her past is but she needs to understand who she is in Christ since the time of her salvation.

She needs to place a high value on her own purity, and hold that standard until a guy meets it. She needs to hold to this so strongly that she is willing to never get married unless a man rises to meet that standard by working to earn it.

She is compassionate, and thrives on making others feel better about themselves. She gives without thought of receiving. She gains people's friendship and trust and even though the world calls her popular, she doesn't stop to read her own press clippings.

She is humble but confident because she is constantly living in a knowledge of who God is and who she is in relation to Him. She understands that her life's sole purpose is to glorify God.

She is kind and has a gentle and quiet spirit. She laughs often and rarely has a bad day. She is a leader and helps mentor girls who seek her leadership.

She is a hard worker, and is ambitious. She has big dreams and goals and believes she can change the world.

She is aesthetically beautiful but does not flaunt it by wearing immodest clothing. She loves small children, and exemplifies qualities of my mother.

She is the woman of my dreams. She is a gem waiting to be found, and even though she doesn't realize her own value and beauty, she'll have me to help her understand just how precious she is.
