I don't understand why there is so much enjoyment to be had by seeing small children sing. They sing out of tune, they shout the words, they sing at the wrong times, they fidget, they talk to eachother, they sometimes pick thier nose. Why is it that the audience stares with rapt attention and can't help but smile. I've wondered how God views our worship to him. Obviously the words we use to express our love probably sound a lot like how a child would speak to an adult. Broken speech and incorrect grammar, but understandable, and cute as hell. I wouldn't be surprised if he viewed us like that. Children on the stage staring at the adult conductor who's lipping the words with exaggerated expressions.

I am reminded of when I was that age. I was in a musical group called the cherubs. We dressed up in little angel costumes and sang at various places. I never understood why people liked it. I was the kid starving for attention and went to great lengths to get it. I had my first solo when I was 8 yrs. old. I sang "I love you Lord." It's still one of my favorite worship songs now that I'm 21. It's a song without redundant verses and catchy music. It's simple and heartfelt. I guess that's why I like it so much.
