I counted up the $23.30 I had accumulated and told every one of my co-workers how much I had made.

Overall it was a good shift and my mistakes were minimal. One of my tables told the managers that I did an incredible job. They said something cliche like "keep up the good work." I said something sarcastic like I didn't know what I was doing and I got lucky. The rest of the night was uneventful. I hope to improve quickly. The thing about Cracker Barrel is you get a bunch of old people who think that %10 is an incredible tip. These old people are too cute to get mad at, so I take my 25 cent tip with a smile. I also got to do some Saved By the Bell trivia with Katie Hitchcock while we finished our side work.

I also went to work-out with my roomate, Paul. We chatted about how much we bench and what muscles we were going to work. It's sad that most guys' (me included) motives for lifting weights is to either impress girls, or impress other guys. I soon grew bored of the conversation and lost interest in lifting weights altogether. I want to be stronger, eat healthier, and be well rounded physically, but I hate the arrogance and pride that is mixed with it all. It stinks worse than the sweaty guys in the weight room.
