If you wonder what the escape key on the keyboard does when you write a long blog entry about your day and accidentally push it, I'd advise you not to find out. You'll be greeted with a blinking cursor inside of a blank box. Nothing but white and empty space. No little letters inside. Nothing. It's a little frustrating.
After watching Almost Famous tonight with Trinity and some of her roomates, I was able to conclude that despite my earlier fears, the day turned out to be a good one. There have been some things that haven't been to my liking, but that's because I've been spending most of my time with upcoming Freshmen. I wasn't a big fan of the Liberty Praise Band. I didn't like the food in the cafeteria. I'm glad that there is literally no end of the potential things that could make my list of things that aren't to my liking. I'm also glad that despite my cynical mind set, I can still enjoy myself and enjoy God.
So that's what I did. Despite all the things I disliked about the day. Despite the fact that this town closes down at about 10:00 and there's not a dang party to be found (not like there would be drinking anyways). Let me put it strictly in Gainesville terms, I've been hanging out with the Tolbert crowd (no offense to past or current residents of this dorm), and I have yet to meet the people from In the Pines (my current place of residence). Trinity told me that the life that I would be living up here would be much different. It will only take me meeting some people that live off campus, and that love to party as much as I do.
I might need to add this disclaimer just so that I don't freak my parents out: When I say party, I mean hang out with friends, talk, play cards, watch movies, and drink non-alcoholic drinks. There may be the occasional game of Twister if things start getting really crazy.
Tomorrow, I don't really know what I'm doing. I think there's some sports tournament or something. I think I might also be going to Trinity's 8:00 class in the morning. Looks like I'll be popping some more of my borrowed No Doz, caffine pills. Sheesh. By the time I get them back to my brother, there won't be any left.
