Down

It hurts at first, but is replaced by apathy
Unfeeling, my heart turns cold in my chest
Cold lifeless arms spread themselves over me
Strength dies as life flows from my body
I begin to feel complacencys embrace
If you could see the filth behind the mask
Oh you would retch at the sight of my face
Hopeless and in need, I cry out and I ask
Take this sin from me for I am unable to stand
I hear a voice and look to see you offering your hand
A face strangely familiar and one Ive seen before
Get up and walk you say, go and sin no more
